Advanced Techniques in Angle-Resolved Photoemission
Angle Resolved Photoemission (ARPES) remains a premiere tool for elucidating not only basic electronic properties -- bandstructure and Fermi surfaces for example -- but also many-body interactions that underlie the ground states of exotic materials.
There is an intense worldwide effort to apply ARPES to new regimes of spatial, time and energy resolution as well as extreme photon energies (low and high) using both SR and non-SR sources. This workshop will provide an overview of efforts to understand the physics at these new regimes, both experimentally (science and instrumentation) and theoretically.
Attendees who would like to participate are invited to send proposed abstracts to erotenberg@lbl.gov
