Day 1(1/2 day) – Basic STXM
- Introduction to STXM – what a user should know about the ALS STXMs to be able use them efficiently – 2 hours lecture
- Sample preparation
- Practical use of the 11.0.2 STXM in basics modes -Focusing
-Image acquisition
-Spectra acquisition
Day 2 – Advanced STXM: hands-on session (you can bring your sample)
- Chemical map acquisition
- Circular dichroism measurements
- Linear dichroism measurements
- Using different detectors
- Optimizing zone plate choice to the experiment
- Time resolved measurements
