Individuals must make their own room reservations. A list of hotels at which rooms have been blocked for VUV-XII appears below. Rates given are per night and do not include the 12% city hotel tax. The last day on which these rates are guaranteed is June 12, 1998. All hotels are within walking distance of the conference hotel. Please phone or fax the hotel directly at one of the numbers below. You must specify the name of this conference to obtain the preferred rate. Because San Francisco is a popular vacation venue, we encourage early registration to ensure that you have housing.

There are also rooms available in the dormitories at the University of California, San Francisco. The cost for six nights lodging and six breakfasts (Sunday arrival, Saturday departure) is $400.00 single occupancy and $200.00/person double occupancy, tax included. The dormitories are approximately 10 km (6 miles) from the conference hotel. A San Francisco Muni bus pass is included in the housing cost.
